thoughts for the day

Such a banal title. And not many thoughts either, as it turns out.

There’s my quote for the day, from Cory Doctorow, on what would appear to be the rationale for home front operations in the War on Terror:

The terrorists hate our freedom, so by eliminating the freedom, we can stop the terrorists from hating us.

Yup.

Meanwhile, I was surfing through Amplifier‘s music videos, having not heard much of the Phoenix Foundation before (it’s official: I live under a rock). But all I could think was that their song, The Slightest Shift In the Weather, desperately needs a mashup with Bruce Springsteen’s I’m on Fire.

And I’m wondering how Wellington’s preview screening of [mo-fo] Snakes On A [mo-fo] Plane went… did anyone let some rattlers loose here?

There’d be more… but Hotel Babylon is starting soon and I must do the dishes. Real life comes first. Mostly. Until it becomes time to watch some TV, right?
