After cowering inside away from the heat and UV of the early afternoon we hit the south coast late in the day.
You can’t see it in this photo – too hard to pick out against the haze – but the South Island is bulking against the horizon. I always feel tugged in that direction when I see it.
An hour among the rockpools and we were ready for home… and F&C under the cherry tree.
Outside now there’s that early evening golden sun. Bathtime and bedtime soon for the girls.
