We missed Serenity first time around. We’ve not seen it, or more than one episode of Firefly, the Joss Whedon tv series that sparked [uh!] it.

Luckily for us house_monkey has organised a charity showing of the film on June 23, timed to coincide with Whedon’s birthday and as part of a worldwide event in support of EqualityNow!.

I’m told it’s great, and I’m ready to believe it given Whedon’s record (among it Buffy the Vampire Slayer: one of my all time favourite shows).
