We were a little tired for mass beerage, so instead we picked up just a couple bottles from Turangi New World – the Pale Ale for me, and the Pilsner for Rebecca. All good, I have to report.
We’ve been in Napier for the last couple days having a pretty quiet time (Hawke’s Bay is good, but Hawke’s Bay with Bay Espresso is even better), and today we headed for the middle of the island to show the kids a different time.
So we’re here in a cabin at a lovely fishing lodge sort of place by the river. We’ve just come back from the hot pools at Tokaanu, the kids are now in bed, and it’s time for some rest before we ascend Ruapehu in the morning. Bella and Rosa have not been in snow before, so tomorrow will be interesting.
Let’s just hope the place is open tomorrow – could be a bit windy…
