Absolutely fascinating. Mars lives large in my mind after I read Kim Stanley Robinson’s fantastic Mars trilogy a few years ago… Hellas Planitia; Olympus Mons; beautiful classical and faux-classical names like mysterious poetry… I need to go to the library and get those books out again…

… and then all I’ll need (short of being able to go there) is a Mars plugin for Google Earth so I can do a flyby down the Valles Marineris…
