It’s nice (and a first for me) to find someone I actually know blogging. Yesterday I found out that Heather‘s been doing it for a couple months now.

Heather was in my “MComms” class, the infamous and now sundered class intake of ’98 (we all got sick of Comms, the political shit, and each other, I think). She was, in my opinion, the best writer in our class and if you read her blog you’ll see what I mean.

It’s a lot more confessional and personal than my site ever will be (I aspire to more of a sort of commentary thing rather then a personal weblog in the true sense). Sometimes I think this might be a cultural thing, reserved Kiwi’s versus spill the beans Americans… but then maybe not – most of the blogs I currently read are primarily written by American males and are not like Heather’s.

So perhaps it’s a gender thing? Nearly all of the confessional style blogs I’ve read are written by women. Perhaps males use the technology for different communications pursuits than females.

Comments, flames, in the usual place.
